Summer has begun!

Well its the last day of school. I am so excited to have less of a schedule. I must be askin for trouble. I guess I am feeling a lttle naustalgic. My oldest beautiful girl graduated from Kindergarten. It was such a crazy day. Of course we were running around just trying to get there. Josh woke up with a fever so Jeff stayed home with him so I could go. I didnt think much of this day until we got there at school. I saw here singing and I realized this is just the begining of all the craziness of being a parent. The worry, the laughter all the great stuff that comes with school. I am excited to share this jounery with her. I cant believe how fast time goes by. I pray that I am taking my family the direction that we should be going as a family. I hope that we are not wasting this precious time. They grow way to fast.

My family is all about
a party so Maryssa had decided she wanted to have a "Last Day of School Party" She invited some of her classmates and they played in the water and had a hotdog or 2 then went home. It was a great day. It was nice to have some family time together. After the party we went and got shakes. A great way to start the summer.

Spring!

Tip-toe through the Tulips!
Yes indeed it is tulip season! I am realizing how much I love spring flowers. For me it is a 2 fold reason.

1- It brings hope and peace to my soul. Just watching the flowers bloom seems to heal the winter blues. And gets me ready for warm weather, picnics, bike rides and all the fun things you can do in the summer.

2- It is motivating for me. To see the beauty that they bring, makes me want to prep my yard so they have the proper presentation that they deserve. (Sometimes I just barely get it cleaned before their season ends. But none the less it does make me want to do better.)

These pics are at Thanksgiving point at their Tulips Festival. I realize that you cant really see the tulips. Kalee is our blooming flower.

Birthday Time!

It's that time of year again!! Yep! Josh's birthday. This year he wanted a Mario birthday party. I really struggled at first. I just didnt know what to do. Then I consulted the internet and found so many good idea. I had a blast planning this one.

He had such a fun day and he was so appreciative. He did think that birthdays should last 1 week long. Every morning for a week he would say "Oh yea mom, it's my birthday. I dont have to do work today!" I love this little boy he is such a fun kid and he always has a hug and a kiss for his mom. I love that! I can't beleive he is 4 and Maryssa is 5. I guess I will have to start lying and saying Maryssa is 6 so I dont feel so crazy.

But a party isnt a party without the cousins. I am so fortunate to live so close to my sisters. It's great that my kids have such a great relationship with their cousins. I hope this remains throughout their lives. They really added to the excitement to they day. They stayed a little longer and had pizza and played with all the new exciting stuff that Josh got. And then Josh had the great idea of.........."Lets have a sleep over. " So Jarom and Damon stayed over. They were so funny and cute, just playin being little boys. It was fun. But Oh no, the fun doesnt stop their. Josh has alot of friends of all ages. He realy loves his older friends and realy wanted them to come to his party but I had to put a limit to it due to the limited space in my house. So I told him he could take 2 friends plus the cousins to the movie . He picked his older friends that are so kind to him. They always include him and make him feel so big. So the next morning we got up had some breakfast and went to Monsters Vs. Aliens in 3D. I didnt even watch the movie I was watching the kids. They all had their big mugs that the neighbor sent with them and popcorn and I cant forget the 3-d glasses. It was quite amusing for me. After the movie Jeff thought we better get them some lunch so we went to Del Taco. We didnt know that it was a grand opening thing going on, so they had face painting and animal balloons. Josh of course thought that was part of the his party. I am such a good mom. We stayed and got our faces painted and balloons and I dont think one kid ate one taco. We had throw most of them away. It was a such a great day! I am so glad that I live by family and great friends.
